After more than 16 years in Dortmund, Daniel and Lori Goering relocated to Köln, Germany, in 2008, to work with the Great Commission church plant there. The church in Dortmund is well-established with German leaders in place, but the need in Köln remains great. The Goerings joined Martin Bonnet, who has lived in Köln for several years. The suburb where they live is one of eight cities in Germany that has a population of over 50,000 but has no free (non-state) evangelical church. “We are on the cutting edge of planting a church in one of the most un-churched areas of Germany,” says Daniel.
